Music is a common thread among creatives--no matter the niche, the story, the place, or the people. It drives a story forward and puts an audience in the right headspace to receive the messages or emotions conveyed in a particular piece.
The City of Servers is no different. Given the importance of the local music scene in Portland, Maine, and the fantastic variety of talented local artists, we find it important to include these artists and voices in our short documentary piece. In an effort to connect with a Maine musician or band, the following post will illuminate what to expect joining our team as a featured composer or artist/band.
In addition, we've created a City of Servers Official Spotify Playlist that will have new songs added weekly to inspire potential composers & artists. This also gives our audience a unique chance to hear The City of Servers before they see it--the embedded Spotify playlist below should provide a taste of what our short documentary will feel like come May 2023.
Without further ado, let's get into the details...

THE CITY OF SERVERS OFFICIAL SPOTIFY PLAYLIST
We are excited to announce that a production Spotify playlist has been created, which will be added to weekly. This playlist serves two primary purposes:
1. To provide potential composers & feature artists with musical inspiration and insight into the tone of our project before reaching out.
2. To bring our film to life before you see it!
Check back each Monday for 2-5 new songs--each relevant to a theme or emotion the short documentary embodies.
