OUR WEEK 4 production PHOTO JOURNAL (and more!)

Updated: Mar 7, 2023

Check out our photo journal compiled below & learn more about the previous week of production for The City of Servers.

This past week of production was a bit slow and included a last-minute shoot reschedule, given the near-constant onslaught of Maine winter weather in downtown Portland. However, we are excited to share behind-the-scenes photos from the one shoot we've managed to follow through with: a b-roll shoot day at a restaurant named Paper Tiger on Fore St in Portland, Maine.

We also have a variety of other interesting tidbits of information to share. This week, The City of Servers saw its first article in the Maine press courtesy of reporter Troy Bennett from The Bangor Daily News (read the full article here). This piece features quotes from our director Elora Griswold, behind-the-scenes photos from our set photographer Travis Harden, and further exploration into the themes and meaning of this short documentary.

Atop this news, we are excited to share that we recently added a Maine-based film colorist & finishing editor to our post-production team--Alex Hartley (visit his Instagram here). You can read more about Alex through his Instagram or by checking out the crew biography included below.

Alex's full biography: "Alex Hartley is a Portland, Maine based colorist with a broad experience in documentary, narrative and commercial post production. He also works as a finishing editor and visual effects artist on feature films and episodic series at the post production company Nice Shoes, based out of NYC. As a Maine native, he's always excited to work locally and further engage in the Maine film community."

As a final note, due to snowstorms & a long drive for our set photographer, all set photos included this week were obtained and edited by our director Elora Griswold.

Without further ado, here is our photo journal for this week of production!
