See it now:proof of concept LIVE

The City of Servers official crowdfunding proof of concept video is now live on Indiegogo.

It's hard to believe, but we're already closing in on the beginning of our production window for The City of Servers.

Our production period spans roughly eight weeks and involves many interviewees--including local servers, food truck owners, restaurant owners, politicians, Political Action Committee (PAC) members, and more. The first shoot is on February 8th, and our final shoot will be on March 25th, 2023. Following this, an intense post-production period will begin & end in early May upon our first screening at the 2023 Maine Film Festival's opening night.

In an effort to round out our crowdfunding campaign and give our growing audience a taste of what to expect visually from The City of Servers, we're excited to share that our crowdfunding proof of concept video is now live on Youtube, has been shared to our Instagram, and has been added to our Indiegogo campaign.

Given our crowdfunding campaign ends on March 11th, 2023, we've been unable to shoot any material with scheduled interviewees for budget reasons. However, the following proof of concept video draws from footage director Elora Griswold and 1st Camera Operator Gabe Hirst shot together in Portland for Elora's first short political documentary project, The View From Eastern Promenade Road (watch here). While this proof of concept video features clips shot by Elora & Gabe, we are thrilled that Bodhi Oullette will join us as Director of Photography for The City of Servers. For a taste of Bodhi's unique visual style & incredible talent, check out his career cinematography reel here.

As production begins for this piece, we'll slowly start revealing interviewees via photos gathered by our on-set photographer and lead gaffer, Travis Harden, who will be working hard to capture all the best behind-the-scenes moments of our shoots. In addition to interviewee reveals, upcoming announcements include: our feature artist/band, our feature graphic designer, our reenactment actor cast members, and more.

Without further ado, here is our short proof of concept video for The City of Servers:
